Life @ Jayanagar

Life @ Jayanagar has been a great journey for all of us. Me (Seth), Ankit (Booby), Faiz and Chunna (aka Taat) have been staying here since Jul '05. This is our wonderful home where we have spent a lot of good time. Here's a li'l glimpse of all that for you...

The nick-name is Taat.... simply "Taat". Easily the nerd of the house. Likes to sit... whether its his study chair or any other kinda seat. Doesn't mind the toilet seat either!! Checks his mail a xillion times in a day. His eating habits are very down to earth... literally. Can survive on boiled rice, dal and hardly-cooked vegetables. Favourite spice is salt.... nothing else. So whenever he cooks its just for him. No one can even dare to poke his fork in his plate. But he's a methodist. Believes in "Doing things correct" rather than "Doing correct things".

There are very few 4-letter words that start with "F" and are not offensive. One such word is "Faiz". The coolest chap among all. Takes life very easy and is completely unperturbed of the small hiccups that comes on his way. His boisterous laugh is audible from the adjacent cross when he's watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S or anything hilarious. He's a big foodie and loves to gobble up anything (except Chunna's delicacies ofcourse).

Ankit Chandra (alias Booby) is a robot. Can work without food, water and air for ages. This guy loves his job as much as he hates his comapny. He believes life is a staircase; so he plans every step before taking it. But takes the step only if he sees somebody already there on the top. His favourite pass time includes listening to "Zombie", "I walk alone" and similar psychedelic songs.

Ab main apni munh se apni taareef kaise karoon. To suno Chunna kya kehta hai mere baare mein... Vineet Seth (alias Seth) He's the biggest net freak on earth who likes to surf all the time. Proudly shows his bulging tummy and his teeth which point in every imaginable direction, so that the vector sum of his teeth-vector always comes to "nearly" zero. Why "nearly" zero, you ask? Hah! "Cause he's got a half-a-magnitude-vector front tooth! That unfortunate vector has a long and sad story behind it. Besides, all the miasma surrounding him, he's a gentle lad and very intelligent too. We call him the "Hyena" which is just as well 'cause he is a scavenger in truest sense. And yes, carries a good sense of humor too.

Tutu (aka Tuttan) is our little bro. who chills out with us every weekend. He is one of the funniest guy in our group, and u know what, he is a professional entertainer. He can imitate almost anyone; we all burst out into guffaws, even today whenever the thought of his imitation of the laughter champions (especially the bar dancer one performed by Naveen Prabhakar) passes by our minds. Respects his elder brother ("Chunda") a lot and will not utter a single offensive word in front of him, but he is in full form when his "Chunda" is not around, entertaining people and getting their admirations.

2nd of August '05... Faiz's Happy Budday. We got him a yummy chocolate cake and he ordered pizzas for us from Pizza Hut to celeberate the occasion. Had a great time misutilizing the cake by rubbing it all over Faiz'z face.


Look how happy he is here. Itna maasoom chehra dekh ke to bumps dene ka bhi mann nahin kiya... Woh baat alag hai cake aur pizza thoosne ke baad kisi ki bhi us gainde ko uthaane ki himmat nahin hui ;-)

As time passed, many new people became the part of this wonderful journey of ours in Jayanagar. One such chap is Chaugule... Raj Chaugule. One of the most jovial characters that I've met. We are all very thankful to him, since he took us to the heaven in Bangalore... "Purple Haze". Have had some great days with him.

Bechare Chandra ki haalat dekhi nahin jaati thi. Ek time tha jab raat raat bhar office mein pada rehta tha. Haven't seen any guy as dedicated as him. Hats off dude!! Par saale itni hi neend aati thi office mein, to ghar mein aake kyun nahin sota tha. Office mein AC ki aadat lag gayee thi ya kisi aur cheez ki, jo tujhe ghar ki yaad nahin aati thi? Huh??
1st December '05, Booby's Birthday. That sick idiot was planning to work overnight. Woh to humne bula liya nahin to us din bhi office mein pada rehta. We got him a Black Forest cake (yummmm !!). Hamesha ki tarah is baar bhi upar-wali ko cake dene jane ke liye sab utaawle the. Par cake khane ke baad sabka mann machal gaya. Aakhir "pet ki bhook" bhi equally zaroori hai !!
Yeh meri pehli gaadi... BMW. Pehli salary se li thi. Actually lene ka mann nahin tha, par jab (gaadi ke) peeche wala servant quarters kharida apni pehli salary se, to kuch paise bach gaye. Tabhi socha kuch chhoti moti cheez khareed leta loon. ;-)

27th December' 05, Tutu's Birthday. Another ocassion; another reason to celeberate !! Main us din ek aur dost ki party mein gaya tha, isliye raat ko late aaya. Phir humne cake kaata, this time a heart-shaped chocolate cake. Tutu bada sajh-dhaj ke aaya tha us din. Bechare ki peeli-jacket mein aaj bhi chocolate ke dhabbe nazar aate hain.
Sabko bhoot chadha ek din - INOX mein picture dekhne ka. Mera ek dost (chirkut) bhi aaya hua tha us din. Maine warn bhi kiya sabko ki 200 Rs. phod ke koi fayda nahin hai. Par koi maana hi nahin aur "Legend of Zorro" dekh ke aa gaye. Lautne ke baad bahut gaali mili. Woh ghatiya movie maine hi suggest ki thi. :-P

Hamare taat bhai ko ang-pradarshan ka bahut nawabiya - shauk hai. Jahan dekho utaar ke baith jaate hain. Humne kai baar samjhaya ki internet pe aisi ashleel harakatein karega to jail jayega aur hamein bhi bhijwayega. Par woh hamari sunta hi kahan hai...
